Recently my daughter and I went to Tasmania for a few days, stayed in 3 different places. I kind you not not 1 of them was up to the standards that I maintain people's homes or accommodation businesses. I could not believe it. Well on to the good stuff. This is Llanberris House. I've owned this business for 5 years. Have personally cleaned thousands of Ballarat homes in that time, it seems though there is a house sale boom. I've cleaned 8 in the past few weeks for sake of current owners cleaning for the new owners.

Full house clean. Bathrooms, kitchen, windows, oven, dusting, cobweb removal, vacuuming and mopping. The owner was very impressed.

I have been an Artist and a photographer for the past 17 years since graduating from University of Ballarat. Being the everything in this business is only a small part of who I am.

As I am very busy working all day then studying my double degree in Criminology and Psychological Science after that or being a single mum after 4pm. The best mode of contact is via email. If I don't answer it's because I am on a job and as time is money customers don't like phones being answered during their time!!

It's a downside to not having a hairless cat I guess. You know the one like Dr Evil has! I clean my house nearly everyday because of the fur and after making others lives easier and houses clean and sparkling I have to have mine the same. I love my animals though so for me maintaining my house around them is worth it. Just as it is for many others x

With domestic cleaning most people expect the clean to be better than what they can do. Afterall we do call ourselves professional cleaners because we are skilled at what we do! For me I find when I take over previous jobs from other cleaners that are either local businesses or the big ones that are state wide, many just hire people who say they can clean. I went through that, sadly most are not up to my standard so I don't hire inexperienced people just to make money. I am about the customers satisfaction and making their lives easier, which in turn makes my life harder. I run this business, physically work in it everyday, am the receptionist, accountant, procurement, marketing, Web designer, photographer, first point of contact. I also study a double degree in Criminology and Psychological Science, so as you can see with being a single mother too I am probably more busy than most! But I enjoy helping others so I think with the cleaning it's the personal touches and care that puts me above all other cleaners in Ballarat.

Sometimes when people rent or buy a house the state that the previous tenants or owners left it in is not very good. This was a 5 hour clean, so it is 5 hours of solid cleaning, no break :). It was everthing except walls (as they were freshly painted and windows were done.) It was a 4 bedroom house with a study, 2 bathrooms and stairs. These are the before photos

I love what I do, because what I do helps people. Cleaning people's homes weekly allows them to spend their valuable time on other things. Like building healthy relationships with their children and families, reading a book or just sit back and enjoy the weekend. I can not tell you how many people thank me for the job that I do, but I do love the praise! The children love it as much as the parents do, I have been told I am like Santa or the tooth fairy because they never see me but their homes are clean.

This is me and my daughter. I run this business and study a double degree in Criminology and Psychology and do this as a single parent with no partner for the past 8 years. So very intelligent and independent. I will let you in on little secret, if you want to be a good parent the best thing you can do to have a grounded child is attachment. If your child feels that you love, guide and appreciate them then they will grow up to be successful adults. So in turn when I help people maintain their homes because of their busy lives, then I also know that I am hopefully allowing parents to bond with their children when they may not have otherwise.

This is my son. He will be 20 this year and makes me proud. I raised him alone, so he saw me go through many stages in my life considering I had him at 19, went to Uni and completed my Bachelor of Visual Art (Fine Art) when he was 3. He is an amazing person and I am very proud to say that he is mine. This is a photo from a shoot that I did with him and his girlfriend.

For the past few years I have been helping make the people of Ballarat's homes shine. I constantly get praised for not just cleaning their homes but for also making their lives easier. So many couples have told me that because of me and what I do I have eased the stress in their lives, made their relationship with their partner stronger and they praise me for making them feel like a better parent. Freeing up quality time to spend it doing important things with their children.

Every single week I get messages from my customers who appreciate the help that I give them. Besides the fact that I am really good at what I do and doing things well makes me proud, it also makes me very happy knowing that I have helped others in some way. It's funny I have met reluctant husbands who just didn't want to part with money at the start. Within weeks they are happy to see us and look forward to the day that we come. Those are the days that their wife's are extremely happy, a weight and stress has been lifted off their shoulders and the initially reluctant husband realises that his life is now a lot easier too.
